Two divisions of the Erwin Andrew Memorial Series highlighted the Thursday card at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park

Abby Best, with Kenny Arsenault in the bike, used a pocket trip to chase down pace setter Grace And Harv to win the first division in 1:58.3. Shooters Bay finished third.
Slim N Sleek matched that time in the second division for driver Mike Downey. Downey was able to hold off challenges from Tobins Paradise and Olivia Hall to secure the victory.
The Erwin Andrew Final, presented by Meridian Farms and Standardbred Canada, will be staged at Red Shores Summerside on October 20.
C L Eighty gave Kenny Arsenault his third winner on the night when the 2009 driving champion was able to take advantage of fractions set by Blue Star Outlaw to win the Thursday night feature event in 1:57.4. Mighty and Strong, with Gilles Barrieau, was second while Blue Star Outlaw settled for a hard fought third for driver Jason Hughes.
Caliban Hanover, owned by Wendell MacDonald of Cornwall, won the open trot division for driver Ron Gass in 2:01.
Racing returns to Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park Friday night at 6 p.m. The program will feature the Joe O’Brien Memorial Stakes.
