For the second night in a row, the Charlie Dunavant-Chris Page trainer-driver battery teamed up to score an impressive win in another Colonial Downs late closer series finale

Cashmere, who scored dominant five-plus length wins in both the second and third legs of the Todd Parker Memorial Trotting Series, did not disappoint after being sent off at odds of 1-9 in the $10,250 final.
The five-year-old trotting mare sat a patient fourth through the half, came first-over at the top of the stretch, breezed by front-stepping Vitos Big Brother and coasted home to a four-length triumph in 1:56.4. Vitos Big Brother took second and Kan Target hung on for third.
Cashmere has but four starts in 2009, and all have been this fall in the Parker Series. Reinsman Page had another three-bagger, connecting with Tattlers Jet and Nativedreamcatcher as well.
Colonial Downs is dark on Thursday and Friday. The track will host a 12-race card on Saturday starting at 5 p.m. The Mildred Williams International Women’s Drivers Final will be contested as the third and fifth races. The eight leading ladies from a year-long series of fifteen races will compete in a weekend’s worth of drives to determine a champion. The eight will race at Colonial Saturday night, at Chester Downs Sunday afternoon and at Harrington Sunday evening.
