Pop I won the Vernon Downs $9,000 featured trot on Saturday, September 2.
Pop I, who is owned by Glat Kosher Racing and trained by Harry Landy, set the pace, going splits of :27.0, :56.0, 1:25.1.
Sweet Ashley T took the lead at the top of the stretch. The two trotters battled down the stretch, but the seven-year-old gelding Pop I had the lead at the wire in 1:54.2. He would win for the fourth time this season and the 28th time in his career. Sweet Ashley T settled for second. Waiting On A Woman was third.
Pop I, driven by John MacDonald, paid $5.80 to win.
Vernon Downs returns to live racing Monday, September 4 for a Labor day matinee starting at 1:05 p.m.
