Wellthereyougo put in an impressive performance going gate-to-wire in 1:56 to score his third win of the season in the Labour Day Feature at Red Shores Summerside.
Marc Campbell, who enjoyed great day in the bike with four winners, guarded the rail position by putting the Wellthereyougo on the point setting up sharp fractions of :27.3, :55.4 and 1:25.3. Jennifer Trainer of Vernon Bridge, PE owns and trains the five-year-old gelding. Rich Raider (Mark Bradley) was finish with BJ Cruiser (Brodie MacPhee) third.
Campbell is teaming up with Image Works in the Drive for Charity promotion to raise money for the Prince County Hospital. They have already collected over $1,000.
Brian MacPhee and Terry Gallant had driving triples on the day. MacPhee and Glen McGonnell-BMO are raising money for the Hospice Palliative Care while Gallant is teaming up with Daniel Ross to raise funds for Camp Gencheff in the Drive for Charity Event. Twenty-five dollars for each win on the season is donated to their respective charities.
In other news, Modern Maid and Brand of My Own charted their first lifetime victories on the card. Modern Maid, a two-year-old Modern Art filly owned by Brenda, Morgan and Robert MacInnis of Summerside, PE crossed the line in 2:04.2 for driver Robert McInnis.
Brand of My Own recorded his maiden mark of 2:00 flat for driver Terry Gallant. Glenda Chappell co-owns the Brandons Cowboy colt with Albert Gamble of Breadalbane, PE.
