Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) three-year-old stakes action continued at Harrington Raceway on Tuesday, Sept. 29 with three $28,169 divisions for pacing fillies.
Land Of The Free ($2.10, Brandon Givens) won the initial split with ease in 1:58.2 by 1-1/2 lengths over Moms Watchin (Troy Beyer), with Wonderful Tonight (Barton Dalious) third. The Badlands Hanover-Im All In filly set the pace from her rail post position and notched her third career win from five starts for trainer Les Givens and owners Nanticoke Racing Inc., Henry Faragalli III and Chad Tate.
Cruising Mist ($9.40, Allan Davis) wired the second group in 1:57.1 for trainer Wayne Givens and owner Legacy Racing of Delaware Inc. The Powerful Mist-Image Cruisingaway filly led throughout in her first career win from five tries, finishing a length clear over Miss Mam (Cody Poliseno), followed by Jobs Not Finished (Jason Thompson).
Allan Davis drove another DSBF winner in the final division, Salty Beaches ($2.60) in 1:57. The Badlands Hanover-Emori Hanover filly scored by 2-3/4 lengths over Rynesha (Ryder Skinner), with Unberdnbywhathsben (Jason Thompson) third. The filly recorded her second straight win and improved to two-for-four for owner-trainer Tyler Davis.
Frank Chick’s Stevie Hanover ($3, Montrell Teague) won the overnight feature, the $31,690 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace by three-quarters of a length over Jett Propelled (Jason Thompson). Disturbed Hanover (Barton Dalious) was third. The winning Jamie Sullivan-trained four-year-old daughter of Betting Line-Shes A Fan notched her 16th career victory from 48 tries as she stopped the clock in 1:53.4.
DSBF trotters will highlight the Wednesday program at Harrington with five divisions.
