The ballots are in and the finalists have been drawn for the 2020 Win A Share in a Racehorse contest with a Grand Prize of one share in Landmark 14 Stable. (value: $2,000)
This is the fourth consecutive year that Standardbred Canada and the Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) have partnered on this contest. Entry was made available to Ontario residents who have never owned a Standardbred before. The contest was available to enter online on the Standardbred Canada website from Sept. 1 through Sept. 10. Ten finalists were drawn from all online entries.
One OSS Grassroots Championship race will be selected from the Oct. 10 card of racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and the 10 finalists will each be paired with one of the starters in the selected race.
The draw to match the finalists with the horses will take place as part of the Woodbine Mohawk Park Racing Live show.
The finalist paired with the winning horse will win the “Win A Share” contest and the share in Landmark 14 Stable, just in time to go horse shopping at the 2020 edition of the London Virtual Yearling Sale on October 18 and 24.
