Parked the mile, Dream On Dream On dug into tempo-setter Your Raider Boy and surged past to prevail in the $1,150 Winners-Over Pace at Inverness Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 29.
Your Raider Boy cleared command from post 3 before a :31.2 first quarter while Dream On Dream On raced wide towards the rear of the field. Driver Walter Walker pressed the eight-year-old If I Can Dream gelding forward into a 1:01.3 half and drew to equal terms with Your Raider Boy passing three-quarters in 1:31.4. The pair remained neck and neck straightening for the finish until Dream On Dream On kicked by to win by two-and-three-quarter lengths in 2:01.2. Your Raider Boy, the longest shot on the board, settled for second while 3-5 favourite R Es Aiden gave chase from third.
Owned by Kayla Habicht Walker, Dream On Dream On won his 11th race from 26 starts this season and his 28th from 188 overall, earning $117,987. Raymond Mac Kinnon conditions the $5.90 winner.
