Coming off a victory in his final Open start of the Century Downs meet, Iwontdothatagain picked up where he left off on Friday (September 28) at Northlands Park.
Trained and driven by Kelly Hoerdt, 1-2 favourite Iwontdothatagain led all the way in the $9,000 Open event for mixed company. He delivered on expectations in his return to the races after more than a month-long layoff, setting fractions of :28.1, :58.4, and 1:28 en route to a 3-1/2 length victory in 1:55.1. Thats It and Outlaw Fireball followed in second and third, respectively.
The win was his seventh in 17 starts this year and 30th overall. Hoerdt also co-owns the seven-year-old Stonebridge Regal gelding, who has banked $214,276 lifetime, with Ed Keryliuk of Edmonton, Alta.
