Horse Racing New Brunswick (HRNB) will host another five dashes on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 30) at Connell Park in Woodstock,N.B. with post time slated for 1 p.m.
In the afternoon's top class, two entries from the George Rennison stable of Truro Raceway will be the top two to beat in the featured fifth race. American Risk will look for his second straight victory after coming off an injury. He was a handy winner last weekend at Woodstock with Todd Trites, who let the classy veteran close home in :28.3 to preserve the victory.
American Risk will have the outside post four while stablemate Privilege will leave from post three. Privilege was also a winner last week and the Rennison stable will be looking for a 1-2 finish.
The Allan Jones-trained J J Breanne and John Davidson will have the inside advantage in the $2,500 event. Rollin Doubles is the other entry in the field for driver Stephen Trites and trainer Charles Miles.
Mark Haig, winner of the Walter Dale Memorial earlier this year with Stash It Away, gets the catch-drive on American Risk, while trainer Rennison will drive Privilege.
There are five races on the afternoon at the picturesque half-mile track in Woodstock, N.B and wagering is available through HPIbet. If fans can’t make it to Connell Park, Universum Media will be providing streaming on its YouTube channel.
