Stakes Saturday (Sept. 27) was the Marc Campbell show thanks in part to the 10th straight win from Woodmere Stealdeal at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Campbell steered Woodmere Stealdeal to a 1:56.1 victory in his $12,000 Joe O’Brien Gold division for two-year-old pacing colts for the horse to remain undefeated in 10 lifetime outings. Danny Romo trains the Steelhead Hanover gelding for Nova Scotia owners Kevin Dorey and Robert Sumarah.

One of Campbell’s other five wins was a $8,100 O’Brien grassroots division for rookie colt with Woodmere Beachline (1:57.3) from his own stable.

The other $12,000 O’Brien Gold division saw Dustylanegoliath (1:57.3) on top at every call for trainer-driver Gilles Barrieau and owner Daniel Ross of Belfast. Gascoigne Sundae (1:57.3) hit the wire first in his $9,100 O’Brien grassroots split for the combination of driver Brodie MacPhee and trainer Wade Sorrie.

Tobins Brownie recorded a lifetime mark of 1:56.2 in a $13,000 Lady Slipper Gold division for two-year-old pacing fillies on the Saturday card. David Dowling was in the driver’s seat for trainer Jonah Moase and owners Amy Lakie of Greenfield, Carl Peterson of Hunter River and Alex Quinn of York.

Maggiesdelight (2:00.3) was an upset winner in the other $13,000 Lady Slipper Gold division with Corey MacPherson at the lines for co-owner and trainer Michelle Myers and co-owner Roger MacDonald of Cardigan.

The $8,750 Lady Slipper grassroots divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies were won by Psili Ammos (2:00.1) for trainer-driver Kenny Arsenault and Doctor Sunshine (1:59.3) for the combo of driver Mark Bradley and trainer Tom Weatherbie.
