Driver Alfie Carroll kicked off the Friday night card of harness racing at Grand River Raceway with a grand slam then later added one more win for good measure.
Winning five of his six drives on a 10-race program, Carroll pushed his win total to 130 amid his sixth straight million-dollar season.
He opened the program with a victory aboard the two-year-old Sunshine Beach colt Cote Dazur ($3.50), a first-time winner trained by Blair Burgess.
Fresh off a victory at Flamboro Downs last Thursday, three-year-old pacing gelding D Gs Shallwedance ($8.80) and Carroll won the following race for trainer Chantal Mitchell.
Carroll was back at it in the third with the favoured pacing mare Bad Night Mare ($5.10), who was claimed in her last start and racing out of the Richard Moreau stable again for the first time in 16 months.
Carroll also made a winner's circle appearance with 10-1 shot Sundown Kid ($23.60), another freshman son of Sunshine Beach, trained by Bob McIntosh.
He then capped off his five-bagger with a seventh race victory in rein to another McIntosh trainee, sophomore pacing colt Lucky Levis ($4).
