Trainer Casie Coleman, who recently captured the Little Brown Jug with Vegas Vacation, has gone on the record as saying that she will be dipping into the breeding side of the industry.

Coleman’s comments have come courtesy of an article in The Province by Tom Wolski.

The 33-year-old O’Brien Award winning conditioner also stated that she has shrunk the size of her stable and is focusing on stakes-calibre stock.

"I know I'm young, but I am trying to slow down,” Coleman was quoted as saying. “In past years my stable had around 130 horses. Now we're down to only 30. That's a good number for me. My hope is to train a stable of only top quality horses. Plus I'm now going into the breeding end of the business."

In her career, Coleman has sent out more than 8,400 starters and has won more than 2,000 races. Mounts sent out from the Coleman Stable have earned more than $46-million in purse earnings.
