Jackie Matheson does the training for owners Jodilyn Shepherd of Cambridge, ON and Jack Brown of Stratford, PE.

Charlottetown native Wally Hennessey was home for a special trackside presentation. Mayor Clifford Lee and members of City Council presented Hennessy the key to the city in honour of Hennessey 8,000th career win recently at his home base in Pompano, Florida. Hennessey became only the sixth citizen to receive the honour.

Racing returns Saturday at 6 p.m. featuring the Island Pacing Championship presented by Meridian Farms. Red Shores Summerside hosts a Sunday afternoon program at 1 p.m.
