Harrington Raceway’s track record for three-year-old pacing colts was matched on Monday by Kovach Stables, George Teague and Ted Gewertz’s Windfall Blue Chip, who halted the teletimer in 1:52.2 in his $10,500 conditioned assignment.

With Montrell Teague at the controls, the son of Art Major shot to the front and laid down panels of :27.3, :55.4 and 1:23.4 before scooting home in :28.3 to win by five lengths over Worthys Magic. Third prize went to Rustys Gamble.

George Teague, Jr. trains Windfall Blue Chip, who is now 3-for-9 this season. The victory bumped his lifetime cash stash to $293,611.

Meanwhile in the $20,000 featured Open Pace, Roger Plante-trained and driven Harlingen Hanover was a front-stepping winner in 1:53.1 for owner James Behrendt. The four-year-old Badlands Hanover gelding pushed his seasonal earnings over $100,000.

Driver Tony Morgan had four winners on the program.
