Stakes-winning sophomore trotting colt Bright Star and millionaire pacer Chase H Hanover sold for six figures in recent online auctions.

Three-year-old trotting colt Bright Star (pictured above), racing out of the Tony Alagna barn, sold for $217,568 on Tuesday, Sept. 24 via OnGait.com to Johan Arneng of Sweden. A Muscle Hill-Morningstar colt formerly owned by the partnership of Brittany Farms, Pryde Stables, Caviart Farms, Plouffe and Riverview Stable, Bright Star has banked more than $200,000 in his career, highlighted by a close second-place finish to Hambletonian winner Karl in the Reynolds Stakes at The Meadowlands. On Saturday, Sept. 21, millionaire pacer Chase H Hanover p,5,1:47.4f was sold by Odds On Racing and Carl Howard to El Dorado Stables, JB Racing and Robert Weinstein for $203,378. A six-year-old gelded son of Captaintreacherous-Calgary Hanover previously conditioned by Virgil Morgan Jr., Chase H Hanover has captured the Open at Scioto Downs in three of his last five starts.

Also selling on Tuesday in OnGait auctions, Way To Go Captain p,3,1:52f led a nine-horse Ron Burke consignment when he brought a winning bid of $82,973. The three-year-old gelding by Captaintreacherous out of Way Bettor went to Tyler Davis.
