Live racing continued on Sunday, Sept. 24 at Flamboro Downs where Power And Grace flexed her muscle on the way to picking up her 53rd career victory in the $11,000 Preferred Trot, which highlighted the nine-race card.
Leaving from post three in the field of five, Power And Grace shot to the lead quickly off the gate with Brett MacDonald in the bike, taking the field to the quarter pole in :29.1. Power And Grace remained unchallenged on the lead as the mare led the field to the halfway point in :58.3. The field moved onto the backstretch for the final time where Aussie Lover was the first to move from third with J Harris aboard, reaching the wheel of the leading Power And Grace through three-quarters in 1:27.3.
