Six Pack Of Stakes At Bloomsburg Fair

The final stop on the Pennsylvania Fair Circuit, the Bloomsburg Fair in Columbia County, kicked off four days of racing on Monday. Bloomsburg Stakes for freshmen were featured on the six-race card.

In the first of two divisions of the two-year-old filly Bloomsburg Stake for pacers, Keystone Wanda, trained and driven by Todd Schadel, went wire-to-wire from post six, scoring by over four lengths in 2:03. The Somebeachsomewhere filly, owned by Todd and Christine Schadel, paced home in :28.4 for hold off Juice Hanover and driver David Ingraham.

The second filly pacing split was won by another daughter of Somebeachsomewhere, as Lifesarealbeach won in 2:00. Roger Hammer owns, trains and reins the winner.

In the $4,794 two-year-old Bloomsburg Colt Pace, Skylites Finale won for the fifth time this season, going wire-to-wire in 2:00 for trainer/driver Steve Schoeffel. The Allamerican Native gelding is owned by Ginny Schoeffel, Mike and Lori Callipare and Ryan Zidek.

Colt trotters in the Bloomsburg Stake were led across the wire by Bsmaximummoondream, a son of Bedford County. David Brickell was in the bike for the 2:11.4 victory. Susan Brickell co-owns.

The second division of the colt trot was won by Keystone Bolt, a son of Cantab Hall. It was the second win of the day for Todd and Christine Schadel. The winning time was 2:06.3.

The richest race of the day was the $5,269 Bloomsburg two-year-old Filly Trot, which featured a full field of eight. Tony Schadel guided Chrissy O to the win in 2:05.1. Syl King trains for owners Joe Benedetti and Ron Silletto.

Bloomsburg Stakes for sophomores will be contested on Tuesday, post time is 10:30 a.m.
