VLTs Approved For Ocean Downs

According to a report by The Baltimore Sun, Maryland's state gaming commission yesterday announced that 800 slot machines have been unanimously granted to Ocean Downs, located in Worcester County, just outside Ocean

City.

The article also stated that the machines could be operational at the half-mile track by Memorial Day, May 25, 2009.

The Baltimore Sun article goes on to say that After winning the license, developer William M. Rickman, Jr. said, among other things, that he also has told the commission that he plans to add another 700 machines in the coming years, though he said he would not do so before turning a profit from the initial 800 machines.
