I Wont Dance won his Ontario Sires Stakes Gold elimination in wire-to-wire fashion one week ago at Rideau Carleton Raceway and the three-year-old Angus Hall-Do Si Do Hanover trotter returned to the Ottawa oval on Thursday using the same choreography to capture the $130,000 final

Driver Trevor Ritchie fired the Per Henriksen pupil off the gate from Post 5 with Illusionsndreams (Tom Durand) and Lexis Amigo (J.R. Plante) battling for the top spot on the inside. I Wont Dance, who was sent postward as the 5-2 second choice, trotted on to claim the lead as his rivals jumped it off before the :28.2 first quarter. The brown gelding carved out the remaining panels of :57.2 and 1:27.3 en route to a 1:56.3 score.

Race favourite and divisional leader Equity (Jack Moiseyev) finished a length and a quarter behind in second while first-over challenger and 34-1 shot Hour Lavec (Ted McDonald) rounded out the top three.

Unraced at two, I Wont Dance has won half of his 14 starts giving him $231,202 in earnings for owner M Biasuzzi Stable Inc. of Ft. Pierce, Florida. The $95,000 Lexington Select yearling purchase also won a Gold elimination and final in May at Mohawk Racetrack.
