Three-time Harrington Raceway driving champ Ross Wolfenden won nearly half of the races on Thursday’s 12-race program.
Wolfenden, who had five wins, didn't win his first race until the fifth with Star Messenger ($5), but won four races in a row starting in race seven with Hillcrest Suites ($14.20), Sporty Mercedes ($3.80), Electric Z Tam ($16.80) and Aunt Babe ($5).
Wolfenden is currently third in the Harrington Raceway driver standings behind Victor Kirby and Tony Morgan. Joe Hunderptfund is atop the trainer standings with Mike Hall and Dylan Davis rounding out the top three.
Live racing resumes Monday September 26 as round two of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) two-year-old stakes for pacing fillies will commence. The DSBF pacing colts and geldings will have their turn on Tuesday and both sexes of trotters will compete on Wednesday.
The $100,000 final events are slated for October 5.
