Dance Hanover Wins Tyler Memorial

Driver Stephen Trites capped off a big Saturday afternoon at Fredericton Raceway with a victory in rein to Dance Hanover in the featured $1,300 John Tyler Memorial Pace.

Steering his fourth winner on the 10-race card, Trites circled the six-horse ninth race field aboard favourite Dance Hanover to win in 1:58.3. The 10-year-old Astreos gelding won by three-quarters of a length over second choice Ideal Ticket. Kass Hall, the 17-1 longshot, finished third.

Dance Hanover paid $4.50 to win his third race in a row.

Sifroi Melanson trains the 48-time career winner, who boasts a 6-2-6 seasonal record from 18 starts, for the Ultimate Stable of Greater Lakeburn, N.B.

The winning connections were also victorious in the previous race with Ultimate Spirit.
