Jim Carr, whose pacing colt, Big Jim, will compete in the $1 million Metro Pace this Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack, will guest Friday morning on
Hamilton’s CH Morning Live.
Carr will join host Bob Cowan during the segment which is scheduled to air at 8:20 p.m. (E.T.). The outgoing owner is himself a native of Hamilton and makes his living as a process server, delivering court documents in Hamilton and Toronto.
Big Jim won his Metro Pace elimination this past Saturday night in 1:50.2 and has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favourite from Post 4 this weekend for driver Phil Hudon.
Mohawk will offer a guaranteed pool of $75,000 on Saturday’s early Pick 4 as part of the festivities, and fans who can’t make it to the track can watch live coverage of the Metro and $780,000 Canadian Pacing Derby during a two-hour special, from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., on The Score.
Fans are also reminded there is a special Sunday evening program this weekend at Mohawk. First post is 7:30 p.m. and the feature will be a $235,786 division of the Simcoe Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies.
