Freshman trotting fillies will headline the Saturday, September 5 live card at Tioga Downs, which will feature four divisions of New York Sire Stakes.

With only three weeks remaining before the New York Sire Stakes Night of Champions at Vernon Downs on Saturday, September 26, the young lasses are battling for their place in the $175,000 final.

Leading things off in the first division are Torgeir Hagmann and Show Your Lindys for owners Kjell Magne Andersen of Norway and Troy Mollohan of Ohio. Show Your Lindys has posted three wins, one second and one third in five starts. The two-year-old daughter of Dream Vacation--Male Nurse will start from Post 2 and will be looking for its second straight sire stakes victory.

Windemerealfiredup will look for its second victory of the year in the second division. The two-year-old daughter of Dream Vacation--Mrs Schreiber is trained by Bruce Lauer, with Mike Simons listed to drive. Windemerealfiredup has posted one win, one second, and three thirds in five starts. The filly's lone victory came in NYSS competition in her first lifetime start at Vernon Downs. The freshman trotting filly currently resides in seventh place on the points standings for NYSS.

The third division is led by the Peter Foley-trained Connie. The two-year old Conway Hall--Lavern Lavec daughter has chalked up one win, two seconds, and three thirds from seven starts. Connie currently sits in eighth place on the point standings list and will be looking for 50 more points on Saturday night. The trotter has drawn Post 2 in a field of nine, slated as Race 7.

The fourth and final division on Saturday night has arguably drawn the toughest opponents, as the top three point leaders Tuesdays With Mom, Munis Blue Chip, and Madam Hooch have all drawn in against one another. The three talented fillies are only separated by 25 points in the standings, and all look to be headed to the Night of Champions.

Points leader Tuesdays With Mom has won five of six starts with one second place finish. Breeder-owner-trainer Peter Arrigenna has listed Greg Merton to drive from Post 3 in the dash, carded as Race 9.

Drawing two spots out from Tuesdays With Mom is Munis Blue Chip for co-owning trainer Ray Schnittker, who has listed Mike Simons to drive the two-year-old Credit Winner lass which has posted three wins and two seconds in six starts.

Rounding out the top three point leaders in the final division is Madam Hooch, which has drawn Post 8. Fred Grant trains the daughter of Credit Winner which sports a record of five wins and three seconds in eight starts.
