There has been no one get close to Irish Ray so far in her career and that trend will be put to the test Thursday evening in the Brian Andrew Memorial Stake at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The Capital oval has 13-dashes set for a 6 p.m. opening post time with the $20,200 Brian Andrew Memorial Stake for two-year-old trotters going postward in Race 4.

Irish Ray is the presumptive favourite from Post 5 with a perfect seven-for-seven record in his young career and $41,585 in purse earnings for owners Three Wisemen Stable of Kingston and trainer-driver Marc Campbell. The son of Muscle Through It has been exceptional during every step of his career with open-length wins in every start.

Getting Salty is the second choice in the field as the daughter of Muscle Through It leaves from Post 3 for driver Corey MacPherson and owner-trainer Blayne White of South Pinette. Red Shores Summerside and Charlottetown two-year-old trotting filly track record holder Camco Erin has the rail in the rich stake for trainer-driver Mike McGuigan.

If history can repeat itself, My Secret Ability will look for the lion’s share from post 6 for trainer-driver Kenny Arsenault with the trotter’s older sister Incredible Hally scoring her biggest payday in this same stake in 2019 while setting a track record of her own that day.

The Post Time Picks see Irish Ray as the most probable winner of the night.

“Irish Ray has put together a sparkling season and has yet to taste defeat. There’s little doubt Campbell will have him on the front foot and if they do get to call the shots expect the win streak to hit eight.”

Also in the field are Dynamical Tad (To be driven by Mark Bradley) from Post 2 and Windemeregotmuscle (Jason Hughes) with Post 4.

The $2,850 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace lines up in Race 12 with Elm Grove Mistress putting her three-race win streak on the line from Post 1. Hughes is back in the bike of the seven-year-old daughter of Articulator from the Jennifer Doyle barn as the horse searches for her 10th win of the season. Her main foes are slated as Ms Moyse (Adam Merner) and JM Sportsfan (Steven Shepherd).
