Ginger And Fred, Special Sweetheart and Showherthemoney will face-off in Wednesday afternoon’s $350,000 Jugette Filly Pace at the Delaware

County Fair. The 38th Jugette is the second richest ever, second only to the $358,175 paid in 2003.

Ginger And Fred and Showherthemoney drew the rail in their respective elimination heats while Special Sweetheart will leave from post five in the first heat. The top four finishers in each elimination heat will return for the Final. Should a filly, other than one of the two elimination winners win the final heat, then all three heat winners will return for a race-off.

Ginger And Fred has six victories in 12 starts this season and 2009 earnings of $374,269. The daughter of Real Artist is trained by Ron Burke and will be driven by 2010 Hall of Fame inductee Dave Palone. Burke also trained 2007 Jugette winner Western Graduate and Palone drove Jugette winners Maudlin Hanover (1999) and Numeric Hanover (2003). Ginger And Fred’s biggest victory this year was in a $112,000 Adioo Volo division at The Meadows. She also finished second in the $350,000 Valley Forge and $250,340 James Lynch Final.

Showherthemoney comes into the Jugette off last Monday’s victory in the $252,700 Nadia Lobell where she paced Lexington’s Red Mile in a World Record equaling 1:49. The Cams Card Shark filly also captured the $175,000 Miss New Jersey at The Meadowlands and has banked $326,360 in 2009. Showherthemoney has finished first, second or third 10 times this season. Showherthemoney is trained by Tracy Brainard and will be driven by Jim Morrill.

Third tri-favourite Special Sweetheart defeated pole-sitter Ginger And Fred in the $350,000 Valley Forge. The Western Ideal daughter also finished fourth in the Fan Hanover, Mistletoe Shalee and Nadia Lobell. The $376,233 winner is trained by Tom Artandi and will be driven by David Miller. Artandi trained 1990 Jugette winner Lady Genius and Miller drove the 2006 Jugette queen Eternitys Delight.
