Travis Cullen wasted no time putting Always N The Money on the lead in Monday’s $8,500 Preferred 3 for horse and gelding pacers at Grand River Raceway, and once he got there the gelding rolled to an eye-catching score in 1:54.2.
Leaving from Post 2, Always N The Money shot to the top and successfully sliced out splits of :27.3, :57 and 1:25.3 for Cullen before scooting home in :28.4 en route to winning by 2-1/2 lengths over Maximus Power in 1:54.2. Adore Him overcome an outside post to finish third.
Trainer Jodie Cullen shares ownership on the nine-year-old son of Always A Virgin-Abbeycrombie with Ron Cullen of Dundas, Ont. The victory was the fourth win of the season – and the 35th to date – for the career winner of $312,349.
