The Darren Taneyhill-trained and Tyler Borth-driven Beavercreek Artist ($4.30) emerged victorious from the Leamington Raceway’s most lucrative contest on Sunday (Sept. 16).
After having been sent off as Race 9’s slight even-money second choice, Beavercreek Artist fired out from Post 5, dictated all the terms (:27.2, :56.3, 1:26) and paced off to a commanding seven-and-a-quarter-length victory in 1:54.4. Arts First Luck (who was driven by Lorne House) and Erle Dale N (Nick Steward) rounded out the top three, respectively.
Beavercreek Artist is owned by the Twin Sisters Stable of Detroit, Michigan.
The win was one of four on the 10-race card for Borth, who also tallied victories with Snoggle ($5.50), Open Water ($2.80) and Nebraska Jack ($3.20). Mark Williams and Garrett Rooney each drove to a pair of wins, while Darren Taneyhill sent out a pair of victors during the card.
