Hollywood Dayton Raceway opened for its second season of live racing on Monday night (September 14) with a large crowd on hand that handled approximately 20 per cent more than the comparable night of the inaugural meet in 2014.
Drivers Jason Brewer and Randy Tharps emerged as the opening night stars with each of the talented reinsmen scoring triples on the 12-race program. Brewer won with Mass Destruction (1:55.3), Little Mans Magic (1:55) and Jackets Required (1:54.2), while Tharps triumphed with Venus Rocks (1:54.1), Bye Bye Daddy (1:56.4) and Hanky L (1:53.2).
Hollywood Dayton will race Wednesday through Saturday nights this week with the regular 6:35 p.m. post time, then take a five-day hiatus during Little Brown Jug week at the Delaware, Ohio county fairgrounds before resuming a standard five-nights-a-week schedule on Friday, September 25.
