Just like the rest of the field, trainer Jimmy Takter knows that Judge Joe is an underdog heading into Saturday's $1 million Canadian Trotting Classic

at Mohawk Racetrack. But in his elimination last weekend, the Yonkers Trot winner gave Takter an indication that there may be reason to be optimistic.

Prohibitive favourite Muscle Hill will start from Post 4 for driver Brian Sears and trainer Greg Peck. After finishing second and trotting in 1:54.1 in his elim, Judge Joe will start from Post 5 for Takter and driver John Campbell.

The CTC has been carded as Race 7 on Mohawk's 12-dash Saturday docket.

“He (Judge Joe) got a little trapped in his elimination, but he had good power in the lane," Takter told the Woodbine Entertainment Group publicity department. "He drew a good post -- to me five is the best post to have at Mohawk -- so we’ll see.”

Takter also said that along with his cautious optimism, Campbell is also looking forward to getting down and dirty Saturday.

“They’re all underdogs in this race. But John (Campbell) was quite impressed with the horse and he has high expectations for him.
