On February 15, 2021, EquineX announced that it had purchased two slots for the September 25, million-dollar race for two-year-old trotters to be held at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

A three-person selection committee was established to choose the filly and colt that represented the best chance to win this race at the time of selection. Dave Briggs (HRU), Derick Giwner (DRF) and Bob Heyden made up the three-person selection committee.

The top five performing fillies and colts that the final selection was made from were:

Fillies - American Beauty, Baptism, Gabbys C Note, Mon Cheval, Selfie Queen

Colts - Branded By Lindy, Gabbys Bit Coin, Looks Like Moni, Majestic J, The Mighty Hill

The committee unanimously selected Selfie Queen and The Mighty Hill as their first choice. Gabby C Note was the second choice for the filly category and Branded By Lindy was the second choice in the colt category. In the event that the first selection declines the invitation to use the designated slot, the second choice will receive the invitation.
