Sent off as the even-money favourite, Warrawee Xalt powered to the lead and cruised through fractions of :27.2, :57.1 and 1:25.1 before using a :27.3 closing quarter to win by a length over Armstead Cole in 1:53.1. Renegade Gypsy tagged along to grab the show dough.
