Chestnut Schofield went to the front and didn’t look back en route to a 1:56 victory in Thursday’s $8,500 Preferred 3 for trotters at Flamboro Downs.

With co-owner Ed Hensley barking out orders from the racebike, Chestnut Schofield shot the top from Post 5 and wheeled the field through fractions of :28.3, :57.2 and 1:26.3 before using a :29.2 closing panel to seal the deal. He won by 2-1/2 lengths over Kinnder Dangerous. Third prize was earned by Warrawee Shipshape.

Co-owner Ashleigh Hensley trains the five-year-old son of Muscle Mass-Beyond Limits. It was the seventh win of the season – and the 11th to date – for the career winner of $139,722.
