The draw for Harrington Raceway’s September 19 running of the 10th annual $150,000 Bobby Quillen Memorial has taken place, and the field of eight pacers includes the United States’ reigning horse of the year, Wiggle It Jiggleit.

After a busy schedule of travelling the past several months, the four-year-old world champion pacer will return to his hometown to race where he set the world record for three-year-old geldings on a half-mile racetrack last year with a 1:49 clocking.

Owned by George Teague Jr. and Teague Racing Partnership for Harrington-based trainer Clyde Francis, Wiggle It Jiggleit has drawn the coveted rail spot (Post 1) in the eight-horse field that sports a combined lifetime bankroll in excess of $8 million.

The Race 10 field includes Lightning Stable’s Mcardles Lightning; the 2015 Quillen champ, Bamond Racing’s Mach It So; John Craig’s Luckbewithyou; Rock and Roll Stable’s American Primetime; Burke Racing and Weaver Bruscemi’s Rockin Ron; Lauretta Galm’s Keystone Velocity; and Robert Cooper Stables and J&T Silva’s Mel Mara, who set a track record for aged pacing horses (1:50.1) at Harrington on Monday, September 12.

The race will be the final leg of the late Pick Four (Races 7-10). The Quillen Memorial, honours the popular late Delaware legislator who devoted his life to public service and was a regular at the racetrack.

Post time is 5 p.m.
