I Luv The Nitelife is the heavy favourite in the $257,750 Jugette three-year-old filly pace scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 at the Delaware County Fair.
The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover has won 10 of 11 seasonal starts and has banked more than $1.5-million in career earnings. I Luv The Nitelife will start from Post 3 and will have the services of driver Tim Tetrick. The filly is owned by Richard and Joanne Young of Florida and is conditioned by Chris Ryder.
Shebestingin and Jerseylicious should provide the main competition to I Luv The Nitelife. Shebestingin has 10 career wins from 16 starts and owns a lifetime mark of 1:49. Joe Holloway trains the daughter of Bettors Delight for Val D'or Farms, Ted Gewertz and L&L Devisser. The filly will start from Post 7.
Jerseylicious drew the second starting position. She has shown consistency this season with 15 top three finishes in 18 seasonal starts. Corey Callahan will drive Jerseylicious for the Legacy Stable of Delaware and Pamela M. Curran.
A pair of Jugette entries, Carols Desire and Novascotia Hanover, will be racing tonight in the Pennsylvania Sire Stake Final at the Meadows.
All 10 horses will advance to the second heat. The winner of the second heat will be declared the Jugette champion. The first heat will be raced for $103,100 and the second heat will carry a purse of $154,650.
