Rideau Carleton Raceway presented a 12-race card Thursday evening, and driver Gord Brown decided he was going to put on a driving clinic throughout the course of the evening.

The Brighton, ON horseman got the ball rolling in Race 2 with Northern Matador, who rallied to a 2:00.3 score for trainer Mark Steacy. He returned to victory lane in the very next race with Luna Hanover, who won as she pleased in 1:59.1.

Brown came back to capture Race 6 with Justalittlefaster in 2:00.2 and followed it up with a win behind Moontan (2:00.1) in Race 9. He helped trainer Mark Steacy complete his training hat trick thanks to a Race 11 triumph with Danish Duke (2:01), and Brown capped off the card winning the finale with Gibsonontherocks (1:56.4).

The six-win performance pushed Brown’s yearling win total to 100, while his lifetime total climbed to 3,817. The veteran reinsman has banked more than $18,000,000 in his career as a catch-driver.
