Trainer Erv Miller has confirmed to Trot Insider that Canadian Record holder and 2011 Des Smith Classic Pace winner Lisagain p,4,1:49.1f ($637,156)
has been sold.
Miller told Trot Insider that Lisagain was sold and exported to New Zealand.
"I think he'll fair well down there," Miller said. "He's the kind of horse that can take a lot of air and race that style."
Lisagain, a five-year-old son of Dragon Again out of the Abercrombie mare Lisheen, is a half-brother to Lis Mara p,4,1:47.3 ($2,270,674). On June 5, 2011, Lisagain captured the 30th edition of the Des Smith in a Canadian Record 1:49.2.
Lisagain will race from the stable of Tim Butt, the same connections that purchased Mr Feelgood for racing and stud duty Down Under.
"He's arrived in Auckland and will have two weeks in quarantine there before coming down," Anthony Butt was quoted as saying on timbuttracing.co.nz, where it was also stated that Lisagain will be pointed toward the Miracle Mile at Menangle in late November.
It is also expected that Lisagain will ultimately stand stud Down Under.
