Blair Laffin and Robert Laffin had plenty of reasons to smile on Sunday afternoon at Truro Raceway thanks to their recurring trips to victory lane
.
Blair Laffin enjoyed a three-win day at the office while Robert Laffin picked up five scores on the 12-race card.
They joined forces to take Race 4 with Antosh Seelster (2:02.1) before Ernie Laffin piloted the Blair Laffin-trained Boo Gurney (2:03.4) to victory in Race 6. Blair, who trails only Nicholas White in the Truro trainers’ standings, completed his training hat trick with Lady Gi Gi (1:59.2) who went wire-to-wire for Robert in Race 10.
Robert, who currently sits second in the standings among Truro’s leading teamsters, added wins with the Ken St. John-trained Albert Rules (1:58.4) in Race 7, the John McKinnon-trained PH Cyril (1:59.2) in Race 8 and the Danny Romo-trained M D Joey (2:03.2) in Race 12 to complete his five-win performance.
