Eric Foster’s Sinatra De Vie ($2.40, Johnathan Ahle) was a 1:55.1 winner in the featured $30,405 Free-For-All Handicap Trot on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Harrington Raceway.
The four-year-old Southwind Frank gelding surged off cover on the final turn and fanned wide in the stretch before hitting his best gears late and out-kicking Swan Flyer, who was gaining on the inside and finished second, for a narrow win. Not For Moni finished third.
Trained by Jason Skinner, Sinatra De Vie was the favourite for the fifth straight start and after three second-place finishes in those efforts, came through Wednesday for this ninth win of the year while pushing his seasonal earnings past $130,000.
Tony Morgan had four wins on the card. Ross Wolfenden, Allan Davis and Montrell Teague each had driving doubles.
Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule through Oct. 23.
