Maddys Credit was an easy winner in the featured $5,500 Preferred 4 Handicap Pace on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 11) at Leamington Raceway.

One of just two mares in the field of seven, Maddys Credit went right to the front from post four in a :27.3 opening panel for driver Natasha Day and cruised to the half in a rated :57.3. Warrawee Xceed (Nick Steward) advanced first-up with one lap to go, but Maddys Credit shrugged off that foe past three-quarters in 1:27.3 and paced away to a seven-length score in 1:56.4. Warrawee Xceed held on for second over Phone In (Garrett Rooney) and 4-5 favourite Homey Joe (Mark MacQuarrie).

Sent postward as the 5-1 third choice, Maddys Credit paid $13.10 to win.

She has now won three of her last four starts while racing at Leamington and Grand River Raceway. A 15-time career winner, the nine-year-old Up The Credit mare is campaigned by trainer Cassidy Schneider and co-owner Colonel Schneider Jr.

Just prior to Maddys Credit's victory, Team Schneider and Day also teamed up with winning trotter Spun From Magic, who led wire-to-wire in 2:00.3 to follow up on his record-setting victory last week.
