Dreamville Stable's Dyladmar looked the part of an odds-on favourite despite his 16-1 price tag as he upset in the $25,000 Open Handicap Trot on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Harrington Raceway.

Russell Foster had the five-year-old Muscle Hill-Sahalee gelding three-wide through the quarter in :28.4 to reach the front and rated him to :56.4 and 1:26.3 middle fractions. He hit the gas on the final turn, and Dyladmar accelerated away from his rivals and cruised to a 3-3/4-length victory in 1:55.1. Speed Away (Corey Callahan), a six-time Harrington Open winner this year, surged from the back for second over Mickey Muscles (Ross Wolfenden).

Dyladmar's victory was his sixth this season in 16 attempts. The Edwin Gannon Jr.-trained gelding has now earned $213,592 and won 12 of 56 career appearances for his Cambridge, Ont.-based owner. He paid $35 to win.

Jim Morand, Callahan, and Art Stafford Jr. each had driving doubles. Trainer Joe Columbo harnessed two winners.
