Stuart Sowerby was red hot Friday night at Grand River, picking up five wins on the 12-race card

Easy Motion kicked off the Sowerby's productive night in Race 5 with a gate-to-wire score for trainer Gino Cicero, who co-owns the pacer with Marlene Heath.
Sowerby and Its Yours traveled three-wide and overcame broken equipment to win by a neck over Stonehouse I J in the seventh. It was the gelding’s fourth win of the season for trainer Daryle Rohfritsch and co-owner Dale Rohfritsch.
Celebrity Venus cut the mile in Race 9 to give Sowerby his hat-trick. The 4-1 mare is a four-time winner this season for Garth Bechtel and trainer Rod Boyd.
A back-to-back attack in the late double rounded out Sowerby’s five-bagger. He drove Allen The Optimist to his first career win in Race 11 and closed with a 7-1 upset in the final dash aboard Voodoo Panic from Post 8.
The Guelph, ON resident is approaching 750 career wins and $5 million in purse earnings.
