Driver Ron Cullen steered Outlaw I See Red ($8.90) to the 2:02.3 two and three-quarter length victory with Playboy Killean (Dean Rey) and Outlaw Spider (Don Howlett) finishing second and third, respectively.
Jodie Cullen trains the five-year-old Brandons Cowboy gelding for owners Derek and Fred Gilbert of Brandon, MB.
The race was named in honour of horseman Murray Cumberland, who passed away in July 2012.
