Driver Trevor Henry lit up the toteboard on Friday night (August 7) at Woodbine Mohawk Park on more than one occasion with longshot victories from post 10.

Starting from the trailing tier for the third time in her career, Best Head West scored a 1:53.2 maiden-breaking victory using a :26.2 kicker off cover in a $15,000 two-year-old filly pace with Henry aboard for trainer Bob McIntosh. Owned by Robert McIntosh Stables, C S X Stables and Al McIntosh Holdings, the homebred Bettors Delight-Lets Head Out West filly was let go at 22-1 in her fifth start after breaking stride in the Battle of the Belles eliminations and returned $46 to win. The favourite was Ontario Sires Stakes champion Alumni Seelster, who led to the stretch and finished sixth-placed-fifth.

Henry also reined home 19-1 post 10 starter Dont Stop Believin in a $24,000 fillies and mares conditioned pace for trainer Julie Robinson and Klein Racing Stables. The six-year-old daughter of Camluck collared favourite Roll With Sparky in deep stretch and held off fellow late-closer Windsongmagnifique by a half-length in 1:51.2. The win payout was $40.20. The 17-time career winner, who took her mark of 1:51 on July 18 at Mohawk, was moving up in class off a show finish last Friday.
