Running Aces’ Tuesday (August 6) program offered a $16,000 Mares Open Pace, and it was the Jessie Pacheco-trained and Nick Roland-driven Delightfully Wild ($7.20) that won the feature with a gate-to-wire, neck victory in 1:52.2.

After leaving from Post 5, Delightfully Wild cut all the speed (:27.2, :56, 1:23.4) and held off the two-hole rider, Pull The Shade, who just came up short for driver Brady Jensen. PV Miracle Mary, the first-over attacker in the race that had started from Post 9, finished third, one and a quarter lengths in arrears of the victor.

Delightfully Wild, a six-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight, is owned by Richard Morita and David Yamada.

A pair of two-year-old open races were also featured on Tuesday’s program. Teachmehowtotory picked up her third career win, which came in the $10,000 two-year-old open trot in 2:01.3 for owner Set The Pace Racing and trainer/driver Nick Roland. Bunkerhill Phil picking up his sixth win in a row in the $10,000 two-year-old open pace in 1:59 with Don Harmon in the bike for owner/trainer Gene Miller.

Driver Nick Roland led the night with three winners, while Don Harmon and Steve Wiseman both picked up driving doubles on the Tuesday card.

Live racing will return to Running Aces on Saturday (August 10) with first post at 6:00 p.m. (CT).
