The winning streak is now six-in-a-row and counting for the white hot The Deputy Is Home, who bottomed-out the claiming foes he faced on Monday evening at Mohawk Racetrack.
With Billy Davis, Jr. at the helm, The Deputy Is Home rocketed to the lead from Post 4 and sliced out splits of :26.1, :54.1 and 1:22.3 before kicking home in :29.1 to win by 2-3/4 lengths over Oil Tumbles in 1:51.4.
The Kevin McMaster-trained nine-year-old son of Shotgun Scott-Roomie Hanover, who was sent off as the 4-5 favourite, improved his 2012 record to 13-1-1 from 19 starts. The McMaster Stable Inc’s gelding is now a 34-time winner to date, and his lifetime earning stand at $323,986.
