Reports from south of the border indicate that the overall thoroughbred handle continues to decline
.
The Thoroughbred Times has reported that year-to-year figures from Equibase through July indicate wagering is down 10.9 per cent to $7,550,634,682 or $920,000,000 below last year.
Through six months ended June 30, total handle was down 10.5 per cent.
