Leamington Raceway is set to welcome fans back for another exciting season of live harness racing beginning on Sunday, Aug. 9.
Racing will be held every Sunday through Oct. 25, with post time at 1 p.m.
Leamington Raceway continues to offer affordable family entertainment, with free admission and free parking every race day. Fans of all ages are invited to experience the excitement of live harness racing and enjoy an afternoon at Ontario's southernmost racetrack.
Several popular promotional events will return throughout the season, including Kids Day on Sunday, Sept. 6, featuring activities for young racing fans and families.
On Sunday, Sept. 27, Leamington Raceway will host its annual Harness the Hope Day, raising awareness for breast cancer while combining exciting racing with community support.
One of the season's biggest attractions returns on Sunday, Oct. 4, as the popular Wiener Dog Races take over the track. The fan-favourite event draws large crowds each year as Dachshunds race down the homestretch in a fun-filled afternoon for spectators of all ages.
From Opening Day through the season finale, fans can enjoy competitive harness racing, exciting promotions, giveaways and a welcoming atmosphere that has made Leamington Raceway a summer and fall tradition in Essex County.
