Oh My Joepa took the $7,500 featured pace at Vernon Downs on Saturday, August 5.
Golden Gun led to the first quarter in :27.0. Oh My Joepa , owned and trained by MacDonald, took the lead into the backstretch and followed with fractions of :56.0, 1:23.4 before winning in 1:52.0 by three lengths. Appolo Seelster closed to finish second, and Calvin B was third.
Oh My Joepa won for the 12th time this season and for the 43rd time in his career. He paid $3.20 to win.
Vernon Downs returns to live action on Thursday (August 10) with an 11 race card starting a 6:45.
