Trainer/driver Larry Snow's Boys Turn was no match for his rivals in the top Winners Over class at Northside Downs on Sunday, Aug. 4 as the pacer streaked to his fifth straight victory.

Boys Turn, who won from the outside post when he stepped up to Northside's top class last week, was sent postward as the 3-5 favourite looking to extend his win streak that began early last month. With the inside post advantage in the $1,600 Sunday afternoon feature, Boys Turn lined up the field of five in post position order behind him off the gate.

He opened up a quick three-length lead to the opening quarter in :28.4 and maintained a comfortable margin to the half in :58.4 and three-quarters in 1:27.3 while 3-2 second choice Daddys Eyes (Adam Lynk) took over second and chased after the leader in vain through the stretch. Boys Turn won under wraps in a new season's best clocking of 1:57.1, with Daddys Eyes two lengths behind. Kiss Me Im Irish (Mark Pezzarello) rounded out the top three finish order.

A $7,000 claim for Snow and co-owner Henry Poswiata in late spring, the Shadow Play-Bunny Dance gelding is now seven-for-11 in his eight-year-old campaign and has won 31 races lifetime. He paid $3.40 to win.

Live harness racing will take an extended hiatus at Northside Downs and resume on Saturday, Aug. 24.
