Driver Guy Gagnon won five races on the 12-race card at Kawartha Downs on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Gagnon nabbed his first win with a wire-to-wire effort behind Groomed ($5.00), who he also trains, in a $5,100 conditioned pace in 1:55.2. He won the next race, a $4,600 conditioned pace, with favourite Dune Speed ($4.50) after brushing to the lead past the half and winning by three-and-a-quarter lengths in 1:59.4.

Wiring the field again, Gagnon won his third in a $3,100 claiming pace driving odds-on choice Jens Credit ($3.30) to a five-and-three-quarter length victory in 1:57.4. Gagnon followed that effort with a two-and-a-half length win steering Beach Runner A M ($7.10) in a $4,600 conditioned pace in 1:54.3. Gagnon's final win came with an off-the-pace blitz by Shock N Rock ($9.50) in a $4,100 conditioned pace, winning by three-and-a-half lengths in 1:55.4.
